이준형의 개인전 ‘Brave New World’가 경리단길에 위치한 컨템포러리 아트스페이스 Art Delight에서 열린다. 이번 전시에서 작가는 사진 용지 위에 오일파스텔과 기름을 섞어 그린 일상의 드로잉 연작을 선보인다. 전시의 모티브가 되는 소설 ‘멋진 신세계(Brave New World)’에는 불행한 사람이 없다. 전쟁과 질병, 가난은 존재하지 않고 모두가 고독과 절망으로 부터 자유롭지만 우리는 그것이 진짜 행복이 아니라는 것을 안다. 가장 원초적인 드로잉을 통해 이준형은 우리가 느끼고 추구해온 행복이 진짜 감정이 아닌 허상 세계의 포장된 욕망 이었는지에 대해 질문한다.

ArtDelight에서는 2020년 3월 10일부터 3월 19일 까지 66점의 드로잉 시리즈와 소형 태양광발전 시스템을 포함한 이동식 작업실을 관람할 수 있다.



Lee Jun-hyung's solo exhibition "Brave New World" will be held at Art Delight, a contemporary art space located in GyeongRiDan-Gil. The exhibition presents a series of drawings of daily routine using oil pastels and oil on photo paper. In the novel “Brave New World”, no one is miserable. There is no such thing as misery in Aldous Huxley’s world—starvation, poverty, disease, or war. Through the most primitive drawing, Lee asks whether the happiness we have felt and pursued was a real emotion or a desire wrapped in a fictional world.

Art Delight offers 66 drawing series and mobile studio including a small solar power system from March 10 to March 19, 2020.
